The Experts behind RIC Electronics
We are experts in research, development and continual innovation to supply our customers with the most rugged and reliable industrial power solutions on the market.
1981
Established
RIC Electronics began life in 1981 when founder Peter Malow heeded his entrepreneurial urges to start and grow a business in the dynamic field of power and backup systems. The company’s name is an acronym reflecting the target products: Rectifiers, Inverters, Converters.
2003

Present owners Nad and Scott formed the new executive leadership in 2003, and to date, they have expanded operations from a 3,000 square foot base to 30,000 square feet and from two employees to over 50.
SINCE 2003

We have developed a reputation as specialists in the engineering design, manufacturing and sale of industrial-grade battery chargers/rectifiers, DC UPS systems, AC UPS systems, converters and inverters. Our customers work in the marine, defense, utility, telecom, oil and gas, mining and general industrial sectors.

New products were introduced to bolster the lineup and better serve the needs of a growing customer base and expanding markets.
2013

Our company branched out from its traditional product offerings in 2013, taking on high-profile electronics and power system projects for clients. Notable among those were:
- A 2 MW battery charger supplied to the Victoria Class Submarine for the Seaspan Department of National Defense Project

2019
New Mission
In 2019, our leadership team recognized the value of developing innovative clean technologies to combat society’s adverse impacts on the planet’s ecosystems. A desire to contribute in a meaningful way while growing our business was the impetus for developing our CleanGen™ mobile power source and CleanGrid™ utility-scale power solutions.
Our Mission
The impact of our cleantech efforts has caused us to re-define our mission – and the future trajectory of our company. It comes down to five words:
Don’t leave Earth. Fix it!
Yes, we still design, manufacture and sell high-quality, robust power and backup systems, and that won’t change anytime soon. But we’re also clear that the CleanGen™ entry into the cleantech market is the springboard for our expanding involvement in the green energy movement taking hold globally.
We are excited to soon unveil our CleanGrid product line of modular, sustainable energy storage and delivery systems for utility-scale applications to match the requirements that our expanding customer base demands.
